It was a nice overview of RTII came about. I seem to get bits and pieces about RTII and she explained the importance of using the same assessments to initiate instruction and to check progress. It was very informative and she was an excellent apeaker. Do you find this valuable?

I thought Marjorie Lipson did a nice job explaining RTII, and it was a good introduction to the week for me. It really struck me when Marjorie talked about "Christmas Tree Schools". We really do try to put too much on the "tree" many times. I like her statements, "Identify your vision. Create a community of professionals committed to that vision." Do you find this valuable?

Dr. Lipson's talk was right on, stating that students should not be removed from the classroom and taken to the "room down the hall." Although I am not as informed in RtII nevertheless, her presentation gave me information that can be used. She emphaised that the student shoulc not be removed from the classroom, rather leave the student in the classroom to learn the content along with the class. Do you find this valuable?

I liked Marjorie Lipson's comparisons of all the new initiatives and Christmas tree ornaments. So often we as teachers are given 'great ideas to try" but never really have the time (planning and implementation) to truly know if these ideas will work for our individual needs. There always seems to be the next big thing around the bend. Do you find this valuable?

The teachers I work with and I all struggle with the concept of the Tier 3 students leaving our rooms and their interventions not being aligned with what we are doing with our core curriculum in our room. Since we are accountable for their learning we should be helping with the planning of these interventions. Do you find this valuable?
