Paula Gilbert is the Director of Youth Services, Martin Library and York Co. Library System. She holds a Masters in Library Science from Univ. of Michigan with a concentration in Youth Services and is a trainer for Commonwealth Libraries education programs.

Shawn Sipe was the Children’s Collection Specialist at Martin Library and has been selecting the best in children’s books for over twenty years. She has a degree in French and Education from Susquehanna University. She is currently working on a Graduate Certificate in Children's Literature through Penn State's World Campus.

Together, they bring many years of experience and plenty of enthusiasm to the subject of bringing children and books together.

Description:

Sit back and hear about new trade books you can use in your classroom. We will show you picture books, read-alouds, fiction and informational books for grades K-6 and suggest uses for them. You will be able to hold the books and examine them closely. Past session attendees have appreciated the handouts and the lively presentation.
